QHSE Proces Specialist
For you, QHSE doesn’t come in a standard package!
Are you at the start of your career and eager to make a real difference from day one? Do you see rules not as an end in themselves, but as a means to help people work smarter, safer and more sustainably? Then this is your opportunity to grow in a role where learning, improvement and collaboration are at the heart of what you do.
At Faes, we are looking for a QHSE Process Specialist who, together with colleagues, ensures that quality, health, safety and environmental standards not only look right on paper, but also work in practice.
In this role, you work with colleagues throughout the organisation and act as the bridge between regulations and day-to-day practice. You gain broad experience in the field and quickly take on responsibility. You work closely with and are mentored by the QHSE Manager, who acts as your sounding board and coach.
Your role:
Environment and sustainability:
- You help Faes comply with (European) environmental and product regulations.
- You contribute to developing sustainability KPIs, making performance measurable and enabling targeted improvements.
- You contribute to sustainability and circularity initiatives and help translate them into day-to-day practice.
Health and safety:
- Together with colleagues, you translate safety rules into practical working agreements.
- You help keep the RI&E (Risk Inventory & Evaluation for Occupational Health & Safety and Environment) up to date and improve it.
- You contribute ideas on measures and on how to make safety truly part of everyday team behaviour.
Quality:
- You learn how to map and improve processes using data.
- You help analyse complaints and internal non-conformities and learn how to identify the root cause in a structured way.
- You contribute to implementing improvement measures and ensure they are properly embedded in day-to-day practice.
Audits:
- You are part of the internal audit team and learn how internal audits are prepared and carried out.
- You support external audits, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 audits.
- You see audits not as an inspection, but as an opportunity to improve.
Structured and project-based working:
- You manage parts of the QHSE management system and support reporting, quarterly reviews and management reviews.
- You contribute to a wide range of projects, from safety and environment to quality and organisational development.
- Depending on the project, you take on different roles, such as contributing, coordinating or taking the initiative.
What we’re looking for:
- You have completed a bachelor’s degree (HBO level), for example in business administration or a technical field.
- Some work experience or internship experience in a manufacturing or technical environment is an advantage.
- You are interested in quality, safety, environment, sustainability, and legislation and regulations.
- You have an affinity with audits, risks or improvement programmes (experience is a plus, but there is also plenty of room to learn).
- An interest in topics such as CO2 footprint and the circular economy is a plus.
As a person:
- You are able to act as a bridge between legislation, regulations and policy on the one hand, and day-to-day operations on the other.
- You are a good listener, can identify the essence of the information you receive and are able to draw conclusions from it.
- You are process-oriented and work carefully and accurately.
- You are proactive and goal-oriented when translating conclusions into concrete actions.
- You are able to share your knowledge and experience throughout the organisation and engage people in implementing the desired improvements together.
- You work in a planned and structured way and know how to build support for shared solutions within the organisation.
- You communicate clearly and build connections, focusing on shared goals and stronger collaboration. You enjoy bringing people along through change.
What we offer you
You will join a warm family-owned company where people come first and collaboration and commitment come naturally. We value a positive working atmosphere and celebrate successes together, including Friday afternoon drinks and a monthly Faes lunch.
Alongside an exciting professional challenge and 140 motivated colleagues, you will have plenty of freedom in how you work. Your initiatives are valued and will have a direct impact on the business.
In addition, you will receive a competitive salary, 29 days of annual leave, flexible working hours, a pension scheme, a laptop and a profit-sharing payment.
