In our daily lives, lithium-ion batteries and accumulators are indispensable. You find them in electronic devices such as phones, laptops and tablets, or in larger size in e-bikes, forklifts and medical equipment.
Lithium-ion: not without risks
Are you going to transport devices with lithium batteries? Then you will quickly find out that there is a lot involved. Transporting li-ion batteries is not without risks (e.g., fire hazards) and therefore subject to laws and regulations that are regularly tightened.
Among other things, you should consider:
- current UN regulations;
- the type of transportation;
- transporting the battery separately or in the device;
- The suitability of the packaging in which you transport the battery.
