Mechanical Engineer

Are you creative, technically skilled and do you have a keen eye for detail? Would you like to work on sustainable and innovative packaging solutions for leading brands? Then this is your chance to kick-start your career as a Mechanical Engineer!

As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be the technical link between customer requirements and production. No two challenges are the same: from cleanroom-compatible packaging and vibration-damping techniques for sensitive equipment to robust transport frames for heavy machinery and weapon cases for the defence industry. You translate complex customer needs into innovative packaging solutions, tailored to specific requirements such as vibration damping, ergonomics or temperature sensitivity. Your technical ideas and coordination have a direct impact on our projects and the success of our production.

Your working day is dynamic: deadlines, planning and unexpected changes are challenges you tackle with technical precision and creativity

A selection of your projects:

  • Designing metal frames or plastic pallets that protect sensitive equipment during transport in a cleanroom-compliant manner.
  • Creating bespoke flight cases for, for example, audiovisual equipment.
  • Developing solutions for hazardous goods packaging or internal transport in the metal industry.

Your role

  • Drawing up a Statement of Requirements (SOR) based on the client’s needs.
  • Designing and presenting packaging concepts.
  • Assessing technical feasibility and performing strength calculations.
  • Drawing up production drawings and documentation.
  • Coordinating projects, including liaising with clients, suppliers and internal teams.

Our requirements

  • You have a degree (HBO or WO level) in a technical field, such as Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Product Design or Industrial Design.
  • You have knowledge of materials such as plastics, metal and wood.
  • You have experience with production techniques such as milling, waterjet cutting, plastic welding or vacuum forming.
  • Proficiency in 3D design software (e.g. SolidWorks or NX).
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written. A good command of the English language is essential due to our international client base.

As a person

  • You have experience creating 2D drawings and are familiar with the standard conventions and symbols used in technical drawings
  • You devise innovative solutions, even thinking outside the box.
  • You take responsibility for the outcome and work with precision.
  • You keep up to date with the latest developments in your field.
  • You are a fully-fledged discussion partner for clients, suppliers and internal teams.
  • You switch smoothly between projects and maintain an overview.

    1
    Intake
During an initial consultation, our packaging experts will identify your specific requirements. By discussing the criteria the packaging must meet, they can work with our engineers to develop a concept.
    2
    Concept
Is standard packaging an option, or is bespoke packaging required? This decision is made in consultation with the consultants and designers
    3
    Design
Based on the concept, you will receive a suitable proposal. Thanks to our short lines of communication, we can easily make adjustments whenever necessary. Are you happy with the advice? If so, we’ll work towards producing a prototype.
    4
    Prototype
Throughout the process, we present concepts digitally and, where necessary, submit 2D drawings for review. You and your project team members can provide feedback or approve them, ensuring that decisions are clearly documented and the review process runs efficiently.
    5
    Production
Once approval has been given, our skilled craftsmen get to work on producing the packaging. From closures to a fully bespoke interior: we ensure that all your requirements are carefully incorporated into the final solution.
    6
    Service
We remain involved even after delivery. We are happy to take care of all your packaging needs, so that you can count on our support for maintenance, modifications or more complex issues.
