Assembléon is a company that manufactures pick and place machines. These are capital equipment that serve for mounting electronic components on printed circuit boards. The headquarters of this company is in Veldhoven, the Netherlands. The company has branch offices in Atlanta, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Packing problem

Assembléon had a problem with cleaning the outside of the flight cases they use. These were often completely full of stickers due to frequent use, which increased the likelihood of shipping errors during transport. Assembléon tried to remove these themselves with scrapers and glue removers. However, this was labor-intensive, but above all, it posed health risks.

Packaging Solution

Faes has devised an arbor-friendly cleaning process. The crates are cleaned by machine, so no health risks. Before cleaning, the cases are also checked for defects, which are then repaired immediately, before they are cleaned. The flight cases are again clean and ready for use as if they were new. This prolongs the life of the cases which ultimately results in hefty cost savings.
