Project Organisation Manager

Would you like to help build the future of our project organisation?

At Faes, the specialist in smart packaging solutions, we are in the midst of a period of growth and professionalisation. Our customers rely on our knowledge, creativity and customised solutions. In order to better structure our projects and further strengthen our organisation, we are looking for a Project Organisation Manager to set up, manage and further expand our project organisation.

What will you do?

As Project Organisation Manager, you will be the architect and leader of our project organisation. You will set up the structure in which commercial, operational and innovative projects are effectively managed and executed.

You will maintain an overview of the entire project portfolio and ensure that day-to-day operations are aligned with the project-based way of working. You will manage several project leaders — one of whom works within the innovation team — and help them to realise projects in a targeted and efficient manner.

You will also work closely with the Business Innovation Manager, who focuses on innovation projects within Faes. Together, you will ensure effective coordination between innovation and the wider organisation, so that innovative ideas can actually be realised within the right project structure.

Your role

  • Setting up and professionalising the project organisation alongside the existing operational organisation.
  • Creating a good connection between daily operations and project-based working methods.
  • Managing, coaching and developing project leaders within various disciplines.
  • Setting up resource management in a practical and clear manner.
  • Monitoring progress, coherence and priorities within the overall project portfolio.
  • Working closely with the entire organisation on projects.
  • Being part of the Management Team and reporting to the Managing Directors.
  • Contributing to the further strategic development of Faes as a future-oriented organisation.

Our wishes

  • You have a completed higher professional education (HBO) or university education (WO) degree in a technical field, such as mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or technical computer science.
  • Experience in setting up and managing a project organisation, preferably within a technical or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong at structuring processes and providing overview.
  • Leadership focused on collaboration, development and results.
  • A pragmatic, hands-on mentality — you make things work.

As a person

  • You have strategic insight; you understand how commercial, operational and innovative projects are interrelated.
  • You ensure that projects are carried out according to a clear methodology and that standards are monitored.
  • You can effectively manage and coach multiple projects.
  • You have an overview of the entire project portfolio and can identify bottlenecks and risks in a timely manner.
  • You can collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • You have a good sense of market developments and know how to translate these into project priorities and innovative opportunities.

What do we offer?

  • A key role within an ambitious and growing family business.
  • The opportunity to shape a new project organisation and make a lasting impact.
  • A place in the MT with direct influence on the direction of the organisation.
  • Collaboration with driven colleagues in technology, commerce and innovation.

What we offer you

You will be joining a first-generation family business where the second generation now also occupies a strong, future-proof position and where people are the most important asset. We end the week with drinks on Friday afternoon, have a monthly Faes lunch and a spectacular table tennis competition.

Besides a nice professional challenge and 120 motivated colleagues with a heart for the business, you will experience a lot of freedom in carrying out your work. Your initiatives are appreciated and will have a direct impact on the business.

In addition, you will receive a competitive salary, 29 days off per year, flexible working hours, a pension scheme, mobile phone, laptop, and a profit-sharing scheme.
