Website Visitors

Like most website operators, Faes collects non-personally-identifying information that is typically made available through web browsers and servers, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Faes collects non-personally identifiable information to better understand how visitors use Faes’s website. From time to time, Faes may release non-personally-identifying information in aggregate form, such as by publishing a report on trends in website usage.

Faes also collects potentially personally-identifying information, such as Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. However, Faes does not use this information to identify its visitors and does not disclose this information except in the same circumstances in which it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.

Collection of personally identifiable information

Certain visitors to Faes’ websites choose to interact with Faes in ways that require Faes to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Faes gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who request support via email to provide a username and email address. Those who engage in transactions with Faes are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. In each case, Faes collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Faes. Faes does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. Visitors may at any time decline to provide personally-identifying information, with the understanding that doing so may prevent them from performing certain web site-related activities.

Protection of certain personally identifiable information

Faes discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need this information to process it on Faes’ behalf or to provide services available on Faes’ websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using Faes’ websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. Faes will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Except to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, Faes discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, or when Faes believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Faes, third parties or the general public. If you are a registered user of a Faes website and have provided your email address, Faes may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new products, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with the latest news about Faes and our products. We use our websites primarily to communicate this type of information, so we expect these types of emails to be kept to a minimum. If you send us a request (for example, via a support email or through one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. Faes takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.
